'Long Time No See': Pogba Reunites with French Teammates, Shares Warm Hugs

Paul Pogba (31, Juventus), currently away from the pitch, visited the French national team.

On the 2nd (Korean time), Pogba uploaded a video on his SNS showing him greeting his former teammates in the French national team's locker room. With a big smile, he hugged and chatted with Marcus Thuram (Inter Milan), Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid), Mike Maignan (AC Milan), and others he had played with on the field. This reunion took place after the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship (Euro 2024) Round of 16 match between France and Belgium.

The atmosphere was joyful. France defeated Belgium 1-0, with a late goal from Randal Kolo Muani (Paris Saint-Germain) that deflected off Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen (Anderlecht) for an own goal, securing France's spot in the semifinals.

Pogba, who watched the match live and cheered passionately, likely conveyed heartfelt congratulations to his teammates after the victory.

Once regarded as a world-class midfielder, Pogba faced a major controversy last August when he tested positive for the banned substance testosterone during an Italian Serie A doping test. Testosterone, a type of male hormone, is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and is known to increase muscle mass and lung capacity. A second sample test also showed a positive result.

As a result, Pogba was handed a four-year ban from competition, sidelining him until September 2027.

Despite rumors of his potential retirement, Pogba dismissed them as "fake news" and expressed his desire to return to the field.먹튀검증
